Who Qualifies?

At Icon our mission is to identify kids who lack necessary resources to participate in youth sports. That’s why we don’t have predetermined criteria that could unnecessarily eliminate a kid with unique circumstances.

We’ve helped athletes who already participate on a youth team, but due to catastrophic circumstances within the family, their ability to continue to participate was compromised.

We’ve arranged support for kids who don’t have reliable transportation to and from practices and events.
We’ve assisted kids who can make it to practices and events but don’t have the needed equipment to participate equally with their peers.

Every circumstance is different. Some kids are just starting out and others have more advanced skills. Some kids need tremendous resource support and others come from backgrounds where they just need a little assistance to keep them in the game.

Whatever the situation, if there is a barrier to participation, Icon wants to help remove that barrier. That’s why we keep our mission in focus instead of rigid qualifications.
